Overview
May, another solid month!
Once again, so solid that no work was done on growing the business, only work on making sure the business was still running.
Profit & Loss Budget vs. Actual – May 2011
Most items for sales and expenses were roughly on track. In sales, business services income was non-existent, but video production income more than made up for that.
Again, did another independent video production which helped to boost up the revenue.
The only other line item that was significantly different than budget was the equipment expense. It was lower than budget, but trust me, money was and is being spent on equipment, so this below-budget month is only for this month.

Conclusion
May was quite simply survival. Survival in a good way of sorts. I had to survive the month by producing all the work that came my way.
It has been two months now that I have not been able to put any effort into growing the business. Frustrating, but I’ve decided to bank the extra revenue while I can. It’s partly the fear that if I don’t take the money now, they opportunity may not come again in the future, but also that if I turn down contracts from regular clients, they may not offer them up to me again the next time.
