Prelude

Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats

Greg Lam Consulting’s main strengths are knowledge of new media, business education, years of small business experience, and ability to perform the many needs of a small business.

The opportunity for the company is that the internet and online usage is growing. If internet related services are successful now, they will be even more successful in the future due to the growth of the internet and small businesses both starting and increasing their online presence.

The weakness of Greg Lam Consulting is that bigger and more specialized players can most likely perform any singular task to a higher degree. The key will be a combination of finding specialized partners to deal with, or as company growth occurs, retain specialized employees to fill these needs.

The advantage of Greg Lam Consulting over specialized businesses is the ability to see the client’s business as a whole. Greg Lam Consulting does not just see a website or a video, the company also sees how this ties in to the client’s marketing strategy, sales, and ultimately bottom line. Greg Lam Consulting can ensure that the money and time spent on a particular area of a client’s business provides them the best value. Recommendations for spending on items won’t be made if there is a belief that the money would be best spent on other areas or not spent at all.
